The new boss called on both Federal and State government to intervene in the situation of the market in terms of infrastructural development.

He lamented that in spite of the revenues the government generates from the market, the traders are yet to feel government’s impact.

He said that, the roads leading to the market are sorry sight which has made them lost most of their customers as most of the opted to source their goods elsewhere instead of get trapped on the terrible traffic on Badagry Expressway and other connecting roads to the market.

“Apart from that, to bring in our goods from the port to Alaba is now problematic as most truck drivers don’t want to ply the road and those that will agree we charge us as high as N600,000 to N700,000 just to bring in goods from Apapa to this market”, he said.

The new President, therefore, called on the government to find a solution to Badagry Expressway traffic gridlock and also provide the market with infrastructure like uninterrupted power supply, good pipe borne water amongst others.
